Pleased to have got our first mention in a Planning Appeal Ref: APP/J2210/W/19/3219667 after assisting John, MOELS to achieve his goals. We remain concerned that radio amateurs in Canterbury submitting planning applications are being forced to go to an appeal rather than benefit from the Kent Planning Guide and a local decision made by a competent planning officer. Home - RSA

Proud to announce that RadioHeritageUK has just joined the Royal Society of Arts Heritage Network. For a heads up on the RSA see here. www.thersa.org. We took this step because we are a positive organisation dedicated to preserving the heritage of the community formed by workers in the radio communications industry, military communications and their association with amateur radio.

The RSA Heritage Network aims to foster well being through social change by associating people and communities with the benefits of being immersed in their heritage.

At Radio Heritage UK we want to bring home the fact that the electromagnetic spectrum is a historical resource, of scientific interest which has been used for the enjoyment, well-being, public safety and education of people since Heinrich Hertz discovered radio waves. The community currently faces the loss of large parts of its heritage from industrial radio noise pollution and lack of awareness, principally from industry, government and local planning authorities.

We will do our best to highlight and avert negative change, and retain the thrill we got from shortwave radio broadcasts and transmissions for successive generations, while continuing to support new tech.
