At 65 I have led a full and active life.
As a combat radio operator I learnt various communications techniques and eventually used self training and support from a mentor, to facilitate my career in information technology as well as my own well being. I chose Amateur Radio as a lifelong hobby to occupy my mind in later years and to use as a self training tool. I was an instructor in signalling and electronic warfare and I do my best to encourage others to take a similar path.
I realise that there is a community of amateur radio operators with its own culture with a rich heritage going back more than a century. These are things we should cherish and protect so that others may enjoy them.
