We are a group of licensed radio amateurs who through experience, have set a common goal of preserving the heritage that is Amateur Radio in UK from being eroded by poor decision making in British Industry, local and national government.
Our Community and Our Heritage
Our community started when electricity and magnetism were discovered. People still experiment with this in their homes or workplaces today - following in the footsteps of the victorian experimenters, Bell, Hertz, Morse and Marconi. Todays, Amateur Radio is more about digital electronics and self training with a syllabus backed by a network of instructors open to everyone.
In common with all communities there are threats from Pollution and excessive bureacracy. For our community, pollution of the radio spectrum by the elctronics industry and restrictions by local planning authorities are killing our activities. These activities we grew up with as children, as adults they helped determine our lives by providing interesting opportunties for work and recreation.
The risk is that the same opportunity will no longer be available to our children and less people will be exposed to careers in the electronics industry.

Currently we host the Planning Policy and Neighbour Relations Service and are active in the management of changes being made to amateur radio without consent or consultation and which are a risk to its future.
Our Blog and its sister blog, Toxic Lives expose the issues.
