At 65 I have seen many forms of abuse. While some people shrug abuse off, others ask why me? Most have their lives altered by it in some way and for some it affects their health and wellbeing. One day I asked a friend about some issues at work and got an amazing response which opened my eyes to the role of abusers and their victims. It isn't me after all. I then decided to find out as much about the behaviour of abusers as possible in order to understand how and why they affect peoples lives and how to prevent it. My first job made me an active participant in warfare. As a combat radio operator I learnt various communications techniques and eventually used self training and support from a mentor to facilitate my career as well as my own well being - I chose Amateur Radio as a hobby.
